Privacy

This note covers playtosta.com and every game on it ("Tosta"). Tosta is made by Embergrove Software LLC, a California company ("we", "us"). We keep it short because we collect very little.
The short version
- You can play every game without an account. Your progress is saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
- The only personal information we ask for is your email address, and only if you choose to join our email list. You need to be 13 or older to join.
- No ads, no ad trackers, and no tracking cookies.
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.
When you play
- Your progress stays on your device. Scores, saves and settings are kept in your browser's storage. They aren't sent to us, so we can't see them or restore them. Clearing your browser data erases them, and some in-app browsers (like the ones inside Instagram or TikTok) may not keep them at all.
- Hosting. Cloudflare hosts playtosta.com. Like any website host, it receives your IP address and basic details of each request (such as your browser type and the page you asked for) so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Any logs Cloudflare keeps for us are deleted within 7 days, and we don't keep records of your visits anywhere else.
- Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records things like the page viewed, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type, and your country. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't identify you.
- Fonts. Our fonts are hosted on playtosta.com itself, so your browser doesn't contact Google or anyone else to load them.
- Sharing. If you tap a Share button, your device handles the sharing. We don't see who you share with.
The Kawa Royale link
Kawa Royale, our flagship game, is only for people 21 and over, so we ask for your date of birth before we send you there. The check happens in your browser. Your date of birth isn't sent to us or stored. We remember only "yes" or "no" for the rest of that browser session. Kawa Royale runs on its own site and has its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
If you join our email list
- Age check. When you sign up, we ask the year you were born, to check that you're 13 or older. We don't store your answer. If you're under 13, we don't sign you up.
- What we store: your email address, when you signed up, the country your request came from (as reported by Cloudflare), and your status: waiting for confirmation, confirmed, or unsubscribed, with the time of each step.
- You confirm first. We send one email asking you to confirm. You're only on the list once you confirm.
- Bot protection. The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is signing up. Turnstile looks at information about your browser and device to do this.
- Email delivery. Our emails are sent through Resend, an email service that processes your address only to deliver them.
How we use your email
We use it only to tell you about new Tosta games. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with advertisers. Every email has a one-tap unsubscribe link.
Who we share information with
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides security, visit counts and bot protection. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Resend, which delivers our emails.
- For legal reasons, if the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety and property of our players, us or others.
- In a business transfer, if Embergrove Software LLC is part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. This note would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
- Confirmed sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
- Unsubscribed addresses: we keep the address marked "unsubscribed" so we never email you again by mistake. Ask us and we'll delete it completely.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: kept until you confirm, or until we delete them on request.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of our emails.
- To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email support@playtosta.com. We'll respond within 45 days.
- You can erase your game progress at any time by clearing your browser's site data for playtosta.com.
- We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of. California residents also have the right to know, delete and correct their information, and not to be treated differently for asking.
Children
Tosta's games are made for everyone, and the games themselves don't collect personal information: there are no accounts and no chat, and your progress stays on your device. The only personal information we collect is an email address for our list, and the list is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child under 13 has given us their email address, write to support@playtosta.com and we'll delete it.
Security
We limit who can access our email list and protect it with access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
If we change this note, we'll update the date at the top. If we start collecting something new, we'll say so here before we do.
